Rain rain and well more rain

Last week we got into a nice weather pattern, well nice for those of us who love rain. I think we ended up getting rain for 4 or 5 straight days, finally leaving on Saturday mid day. It did tie up traffic a lot, but I love the rain so I thought it was nice. It did help with the drought somewhat too. Now with that gone we get our first taste of fall cold. Even started up a fire last night! We will moderate more through the middle of the week, but not by much, I think fall is finally here to stay for a while. I'll have some pics of the rainy weather up soon! Stay tuned weatherheads!

Is it fall?

It might not be fall yet, but there will be a nice cool down this week. Let the windows open up and get some nice fresh air in. It will even get a bit chilly at night, with lows in the upper 50's. Accuweather even has it getting cooler farther out, like 15-20 days, we'll see if that hold true as things progress.

Wow where has the time gone!

Hey gang. (If there is a gang out there. heheheheh) Well it's been a little while, the world has been a busy place, moving and raising Amelia. There have been some nice weather events along the way and hopefully soon I can post them up! I hope to be getting back into this more and more with things carming down a bit. Here we go folks another shot for some storms. These could be nasty. Could actually get some hail. God I haven't seen hail in central MD for like 5-6years...Not too big hail though, Jess just got a new car. Keep an eye out everybody.

What a waste

Well that was unimpressive for me. The storms split right around Howard and Northern AA counties and we got nothing. A lot of nice lightning flashes, but nothing close by. Sigh...maybe next time.

First Scorch then Severely Electrocute

Wow it got hot today. According to weather bug in Columbia we made it up to 96 for the high. Pretty impressive, now we just got issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 11:00pm so watch out. Basically the storms are out in front of a cold front moving through tonight. There are some pretty impressive storms in WV and western PA moving to the east so we could get some major activity tonight. Keep a close eye out and be careful! Remember severe storms can contain hail, strong winds and lots of lightning. There will probably be a lot of that tonight. Check out Lightningstorm.com for a free map of the current strikes. Lots of them coming our way. Again be careful tonight.
